Daystar Ridge 2009 Season - May to October

Last year, the Daystar Ridge committee changed how events worked for the season.

We shifted the focus of the committee from event planning to facilities management.

We want to better serve those who would like to retreat to Daystar Ridge for a day or weekend.

In addition to planned event weekends, you can now schedule your own Daystar Ridge visit.

2009 Event Weekends:

May 22-25: Memorial Day weekend with a Friday evening observance for the Declaration of the Bab

July 3-5: July 4th Weekend with the potential viewing of fireworks from surrounding communities

August 8-9: Native American dedication ceremony for the prayer gazebo site

These will be weekends to renew friendships, see the progress, and enjoy the time together on the mountain.

There will be times for prayers and opportunities for service as we visit with our DayStar Ridge Family!

For meal planning purposes, please let us know if you plan to come and if you have food allergies or any special dietary needs!

Other Opportunities to visit Daystar Ridge:

Want to get away for a few days during the week or on a weekend? Want to retreat to Daystar Ridge? Want to just go camping with family or friends?  Let the committee know and we'll try to schedule some time for you at Daystar. How you spend your requested day or days at Daystar Ridge is up to you. You plan your time, your food and your activities.

Committee members regularly go down to maintain and improve the facility, basically doing what needs to be done. This can be anything: trimming trees, mowing lawn, laying stone, painting buildings, or planting flowers! If you just want to help work, let a committee member know when you want to help, and we'll find out if a committee member will be there at that time, or perhaps suggest an alternative time.

Whenever you visit Daystar Ridge, we ask that you respect the spiritual guidelines of this retreat and help preserve it for those that follow.  This is a "take in, take out" facility, similar to many state parks.

To all the friends that continue to contribute to the growth of Daystar Ridge,
we are deeply grateful for your time and energy and loving support.

See you on the Ridge!
